Mechanical feed limitations

The tray relies on rubber rollers and a spring-loaded separator pad to advance each sheet. Worn rollers or a smooth pad will cause misfeeds or double feeds that the tray itself cannot correct. Capacity is limited to the stack height the feeder mechanism accepts. Heavier media or damaged originals may jam regardless of tray condition.
