Compatible Printer Models

This carriage trailing cable is designed for HP DesignJet Z3100ps, Z3200, T770, Z2100, T610 and T1100ps large-format printers. It replaces part number Q6659-67015 and restores the flexible connection between the moving carriage and the main electronics. The 44-inch length matches the original routing inside these plotters.

Installation Impact

Fitting the cable re-establishes reliable signal transmission to the printhead so that the printer can resume normal plotting without carriage errors. No additional software or configuration is required once the part is seated correctly. Buyers who need a different cable length or a connector for another DesignJet series will not be served by this item.

Questions about this item

Will the 44-IN carriage trailing cable need periodic replacement on my DesignJet T1100ps?

The 44-IN cable is a wear item; replace it when print quality shows banding or the carriage motion becomes erratic.

What fails first on the 44-IN trailing cable during continuous printing on a Z3200?

The flexible conductors fatigue from repeated bending, causing signal loss to the printhead before the outer jacket shows damage.
