Compatible Carriage Cable for DesignJet Printers

This 44-inch trailing cable fits HP DesignJet models including the Z3200, Z2100, T1100, T1100ps, T770, Z3100ps, Z3100, Z3100ps gp and T610. It connects the moving carriage to the main electronics so printhead signals travel without interruption. The part is supplied new and ready for installation.

Restores Carriage Movement and Signal Integrity

Replacing a worn or damaged cable stops carriage errors and missing nozzles caused by broken conductors. The 44-inch length matches the original routing inside the listed printers. Shops servicing any of the compatible models can use this single part number across the Z and T series. Buyers needing a different length or a connector type not shown here should verify their printer's service manual before ordering.

Questions about this item

How often should the 44-IN carriage trailing cable be inspected or replaced on a DesignJet T770?

Inspect the cable during routine printhead servicing; replace it if the insulation shows cracking or the conductors become exposed from repeated carriage travel.

What typically fails first on this trailing cable during continuous high-volume printing on a Z3200?

The flexible conductors fatigue at the tightest bend radius, causing intermittent signal loss before the outer jacket wears through.
