Compatible Encoder Strip for Canon Printers

This encoder strip is designed for Canon inkjet printers including models TS9080, TS8070, TS9180, TS8380, TS9120 and TS6020. It replaces the original QC5-3751 positioning component to restore accurate printhead tracking. The part suits repair technicians and owners servicing compatible Canon devices. It is supplied new and ready for installation.

Capacity and headroom

The strip provides the precise optical pattern required for printhead positioning across the listed Canon models. It handles standard document and photo printing tasks once correctly fitted. It will not function with printers outside the specified TS series or with different encoder strip part numbers. Buyers needing strips for other Canon series or non-Canon brands should source the correct alternative part.

Questions about this item

Will the QC5-3751 encoder strip align with the carriage sensor on my TS9020 without modifying the mounting tabs?

The strip matches the original QC5-3751 dimensions used in the TS9020, so the existing mounting tabs engage directly and the sensor reads the timing marks without adjustment.

After fitting the strip on a TS8070, how can I confirm the printhead position is being tracked correctly?

Run a nozzle-check pattern; sharp, continuous lines across the page show the encoder is feeding accurate position data to the printhead controller.
