The YINGHUA ENC2MAC-J31 enclosure lets owners of MacBook Air and Pro models from 2013 through 2017 reuse their original PCIe AHCI or NVME solid-state drives as external storage. It accepts the proprietary Apple SSD form factor and connects to modern hosts through a USB-C port.
USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 20Gbps interface
The USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 connection delivers up to 20Gbps transfer bandwidth, so large projects move quickly between the drive and a Mac or PC. A JMicron JMB586A controller manages the PCIe AHCI and NVME protocols for stable operation. The package includes a short dual-wire USB-C cable for immediate use.
Proprietary Apple SSD compatibility only
This enclosure fits Apple SSD modules from 13-inch and 17-inch MacBook Air and Pro units produced between 2013 and 2017. It will not accept standard M.2 drives or SSDs from other manufacturers. Buyers with newer Macs or non-Apple drives need a different solution.
