Dual-band PCI-E adapter with Bluetooth 4.0

The YINGHUA FV8303 adds 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless and Bluetooth 4.0 to a desktop PC through a PCI-E x1, x4, x8 or x16 slot. It delivers up to 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 300 Mbps on 5 GHz for a combined 600 Mbps link rate. Two external antennas are included for signal diversity. A low-profile bracket and Bluetooth cable are also supplied.

Replacing built-in Wi-Fi

This card upgrades a system that lacks Wi-Fi or relies on an older single-band adapter. The jump is worth it when you need simultaneous 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz operation plus Bluetooth 4.0 for peripherals. It is not for buyers who need the throughput of newer Wi-Fi standards or who require an M.2 or USB form factor.

Limited to 802.11n speeds and Windows 7 through 10

The 802.11n ceiling caps real-world throughput well below the 600 Mbps PHY rate, especially at distance or through walls. Bluetooth 4.0 lacks the range and data-rate improvements of later versions. Driver support ends at Windows 10 with no official provision for newer operating systems.
