YINGHUA Hard Steel 0.4mm Threaded Nozzle for Neptune 4
A hardened-steel 0.4 mm threaded nozzle that resists abrasion and seals against the heatbreak to prevent leaks on the Neptune 4
- Hardened steel resists abrasive filaments for longer life
- Threaded design seats firmly against heatbreak to prevent leaks
- 4 mm bore keeps standard detail resolution
- 18 mm length fits Neptune 4 hotend without modification
- Simple screw-in swap cuts downtime during nozzle changes
Hard Steel 0.4 mm Nozzle for Neptune 4
This hardened steel nozzle fits the Neptune 4 printer through a threaded connection. The design seats against the heat-break step to prevent the nozzle from loosening and to reduce filament leakage. It is supplied new as a single replacement part for worn or damaged originals.
Practical Limits of the Threaded Interface
The screw-in mounting relies on precise thread engagement, so cross-threading or over-tightening can damage the heat-break. Thermal cycling may still cause gradual loosening, requiring periodic checks. The fixed 0.4 mm orifice restricts maximum volumetric flow, limiting print speed with high-temperature or composite filaments.
0.4 mm Hard Steel Bore Decides Suitability
The hardened steel bore resists abrasion from carbon-fibre, glow-in-the-dark or metal-filled filaments that would wear a brass nozzle quickly. It is not intended for users who print only standard PLA, PETG or ABS, where a cheaper brass nozzle provides better thermal conductivity. Buyers needing a larger orifice for faster draft prints should select a different diameter.

Questions about this item
Should I choose the hard steel version over brass or stainless steel for my Neptune 4?
The hard steel version resists abrasion from filled filaments such as carbon fibre or glow-in-the-dark, while brass wears faster and stainless steel sits between them.
What does the 0.4 mm nozzle hole mean for everyday prints?
A 0.4 mm aperture is the standard size that balances detail and speed for most PLA, PETG and ABS prints on a Neptune 4.
The nozzle uses a threaded fit — what does that cap in practice?
The threaded design screws into the heatbreak, securing the nozzle firmly and limiting the chance of leaks or the nozzle falling out during long prints.
