It restores the cartridge carriage drive when the original belt has stretched or snapped. Owners of other printer families will need a different part.

Passive Mechanical Component

The belt has no motor, fan or electrical circuit so it produces no heat, draws no power and makes no noise of its own. Normal printer operation determines any sound or thermal output. Install it to return the carriage to smooth, accurate movement.

Questions about this item

How do I install the ink cartridge holder belt on my XP600 printer without damaging the carriage?

Power off the printer, open the cartridge access door, gently release the old belt from the carriage pins, align the new belt teeth with the drive gear, and press it into place until it clicks securely.

When should I replace the ink cartridge holder belt on my EP-979A3?

Replace the belt if the carriage jerks, makes grinding noises, or prints show banding, as a stretched or worn belt causes misalignment during printing.
