Maintenance part without thermal or power attributes

As a passive foam component, the ink pad generates no heat, produces no noise and draws no electrical power during printer use. Installation simply replaces the saturated pad inside the maintenance compartment.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Ink Pad IX in my Canon IX6550 printer?

Power off the printer, open the maintenance cover at the right side, pull out the old absorber pad, insert the new Ink Pad IX until it clicks, close the cover, then run the service-tool reset to clear the waste-ink counter.

When will the Ink Pad IX need replacement in a Canon IX6580?

The pad collects waste ink during cleaning cycles; replace it when the printer signals a full absorber, then reset the counter using the service utility.
