Red aluminium enclosure turns an M.2 NVME or SATA SSD into a 10 Gbps USB 3.1 Type-C drive with UASP and OTG adapter included
- Supports NVME and SATA M.2 drives up to 2280 size
- Aluminium shell draws heat away from the SSD during use
- Dual-protocol controller delivers 10Gbps with NVME or 6Gbps with SATA
- Tool-free Type-C enclosure fits 2230 to 2280 modules
- Plug-and-play UASP support on Windows with no driver needed
Portable NVME SATA Enclosure
The YINGHUA enclosure turns a bare M.2 drive into a portable USB 3.1 storage device. It accepts both NVME PCIe and NGFF SATA modules in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths. A supplied Type-C to Type-C cable delivers up to 10Gbps bandwidth. The aluminium shell acts as a heatsink to keep the drive cool during sustained transfers.
Aluminium Build With OTG Adapter
An aluminium alloy case measuring 106 by 32 by 10 millimetres weighs 90 grams and dissipates heat without a fan. The USB 3.1 Type-C output connector supports UASP for lower latency. An OTG adapter lets you connect the enclosure directly to phones or tablets that have a Type-C port. No driver installation is required on Windows systems.
Upgrade From Slower USB Enclosures
This unit replaces older USB 3.0 enclosures limited to 5Gbps, doubling peak throughput when an NVME drive is used. The jump is worth it for users moving large video projects or system images between devices. It does not suit builders who need more than 2TB of raw capacity or who require a second simultaneous drive bay.

Questions about this item
What real-world speed does the USB 3.1 interface cap at with an NVME drive?
The enclosure reaches 10Gbps when an NVME SSD is used, while a SATA SSD is limited to 6Gbps by the SATA 3 specification.
Which M.2 lengths and key types fit inside the 106*32*10mm aluminum shell?
It accepts 22*30mm, 22*42mm, 22*60mm and 22*80mm drives with B+M Key or M Key for NVME and B Key or M+B Key for SATA.
How is the drive secured and what step do people often miss?
Slide the SSD into the M.2 slot at an angle, press it flat and fasten the supplied screw; the step often missed is tightening that screw before closing the case.
