NGFF to SATA 3.0 conversion

This enclosure converts an mSATA NGFF solid-state drive into a standard 2.5-inch SATA 3.0 drive. The aluminum alloy housing provides durability and heat dissipation for the installed drive. It fits laptop and desktop bays measuring 100mm by 70mm by 7mm.

Suits mSATA SATA SSD owners

Builders who have an mSATA SATA SSD and need a 2.5-inch form factor for a laptop or desktop bay will find this enclosure a direct fit. Buyers whose drives use a different interface or physical key cannot use this adapter. The package includes screws and a screwdriver for immediate installation.

SATA protocol only

The enclosure operates exclusively with the SATA protocol and accepts mSATA SATA SSDs. It does not support drives requiring PCIe or other signalling standards. High-speed performance is delivered through the SATA 3.0 interface.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the mSATA SSD is running at SATA 3.0 speed after installing it in the enclosure?

The system should detect the drive as a SATA 3.0 device and transfer rates will reach the interface limit for that protocol.

What comes in the box and what must I provide separately?

The enclosure includes mounting screws and a screwdriver; you must supply a compatible mSATA SATA SSD.

Which drive size should I select for a 100mm x 70mm x 7mm slot?

Choose the 2.5-inch form factor, which matches those exact dimensions.
