What it is

This keychain holds four MX-style switches in a clear ABS housing with a lobster clasp. It lets mechanical keyboard enthusiasts compare clicky, tactile and linear feel before committing to a full board. The compact tool is ready to clip onto a bag or lanyard.

Switch feel reference

Four switches are mounted side by side: MX Blue clicky at 55 g, MX Black linear at 55 g, MX Red linear at 45 g and MX Brown tactile at 45 g. Pressing each stem reveals the actuation force and sound profile that defines the typing experience.

Sustained use

The ABS body and secure clasp survive daily carry without loosening. Repeated actuation of the exposed stems shows consistent return and no degradation of the click leaf or tactile bump over extended testing sessions.

Questions about this item

How does the 55 g actuation feel when I press the blue switch on the keychain?

The MX Blue switch on the keychain requires 55 g of force and gives a distinct click at the actuation point, so you can feel the tactile bump and hear the sound before the key bottoms out.

Will the MX stem on this tester accept standard MX keycaps?

Yes, the switch uses a standard MX cross stem, so any MX-compatible keycap will snap onto the clear keycap included with the tester.

What are the overall dimensions of the keychain so I know it fits my key ring?

The tester body measures 2 cm wide by 2 cm deep by 2.8 cm high, and the lobster clasp adds a short loop for attaching to a key ring or bag.
