YINGHUA Paper Input Tray 2 for HP OfficeJet Pro

This replacement tray fits HP OfficeJet Pro models 7720, 7730, 7740 and 7745. It serves as the second paper input cassette, not the primary tray. The part number G5J38-40013 matches the original component for these printers. It restores paper feeding capacity for the lower deck.

Practical limits of the tray interface

The tray only works as the second input source on the listed OfficeJet Pro models. It cannot replace the primary upper cassette or function in other printer series. Mechanical alignment depends on the exact chassis of the 7720, 7730, 7740 and 7745. Buyers needing a first tray or a different model must source the correct separate part.

Questions about this item

Should I buy this G5J38-40013 tray or look for a Tray 1 unit instead?

This is specifically Paper Input Tray 2, not Tray 1, so choose it only if your printer needs the lower or secondary cassette.

What does the G5J38-40013 part number tell me once the tray is installed in my OfficeJet Pro 7740?

It confirms the cassette matches the original HP specification for the 7720, 7730, 7740 and 7745 models, ensuring correct paper alignment and sensor recognition.
