Questions about this item

How do I install the QY6-0073 printhead in a Canon MG5140 and what step is often missed?

Open the printer, wait for the carriage to centre, remove the old printhead by lifting the lever, insert the QY6-0073 until it clicks, lower the lever, then run the head-alignment routine from the maintenance menu — skipping alignment causes banding.

What maintenance will the QY6-0073 need after fitting it in an MX878?

Run the automatic cleaning cycle only when print quality drops; keep the printer powered on so the periodic cap-seal engages, and replace the printhead again when deep cleaning no longer restores the nozzles.
