Printhead Rack System SMCNNN-9D5071

This printhead rack system is designed for the Smart VU2-SMART card printer. It provides the mechanical assembly that positions and supports the printhead during card printing operations. The component is supplied new and ready for installation in compatible printers.

Replaces worn printhead rack assemblies

Install this unit when the existing rack shows mechanical wear that degrades print alignment or card feed reliability. The jump is worth it when print quality drifts or cards jam at the print station. It is not for printers other than the Smart VU2-SMART or for users needing a complete printhead cartridge.

Questions about this item

What clearance does the SMCNNN-9D5071 printhead rack need inside the Smart VU2-SMART printer?

The rack is designed to fit the Smart VU2-SMART card printer chassis without modification; align the mounting tabs with the internal guide rails before seating the printhead.

Which step is most often missed when installing the SMCNNN-9D5071 printhead rack?

After sliding the rack into the Smart VU2-SMART, the locking lever must be flipped fully down until it clicks; skipping this leaves the printhead loose and causes print errors.
