Suits owners of listed brands needing an NGFF card

This adapter works with Acer, Samsung, Shenzhou, Asus, Dell, Raytheon, Mechanical Revolution, MSI, Razer and most other laptops that provide an NGFF M.2 slot. Buyers with Lenovo, ThinkPad or HP machines should look elsewhere because the card is explicitly incompatible with those brands.

NGFF interface dictates installation feasibility

The single specification that decides fitment is the NGFF M.2 interface; the card will only function in laptops that expose this exact slot. Verify your device has an NGFF M.2 connector before purchase.

Questions about this item

How fast can the 867Mbps link actually move data inside a laptop?

The 867Mbps rate is the peak PHY speed on the 5GHz band using 802.11ac; real-world throughput is lower due to overhead, distance and interference.

What does the NGFF interface provide and what limits its bandwidth?

The NGFF M.2 slot supplies PCIe and USB lanes for the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functions; bandwidth is capped by the 802.11ac link.

Will the card fit in my laptop's M.2 slot?

It uses an NGFF M.2 form factor and fits most laptops with that slot except Lenovo, ThinkPad and HP models.
