Canon printhead replacement for select PIXMA models

This YINGHUA QY6-0072 printhead nozzle fits Canon IP4600, IP4700, MP630, MP638, MP640, MP648, MP650, IP4680 and MP648 printers. It serves as a direct replacement part for the original printhead assembly. The component is supplied new and ready for installation.

Replaces a worn or clogged OEM printhead

Swapping the printhead restores print quality when deep cleaning cycles no longer clear blocked nozzles or when the printer reports a permanent printhead error. The upgrade is worth it if the printer otherwise functions mechanically but output shows missing colours, banding or alignment failures that maintenance cannot fix. It is not for users whose printer has mainboard faults, waste-ink pad saturation or damaged carriage mechanisms.

Questions about this item

Does the QY6-0072 printhead fit my Canon MP640 without any adapter brackets?

The QY6-0072 is a direct replacement for the original Canon printhead used in the MP640, MP630, MP638, MP648, MP650, IP4600, IP4680, IP4700 and IP4760 models and requires no adapter brackets.

What is the common installation mistake when fitting the QY6-0072 printhead into a Canon IP4600?

The most common error is inserting the new printhead without first removing the protective tape from the nozzle plate and electrical contacts, which prevents ink flow and printer recognition.
