Printhead Sensor for HP DesignJet Models

The YINGHUA Sensor T770 CH538-60063 is a new replacement printhead sensor compatible with HP DesignJet T1200, T1300, T795, T2300 and T790 large-format printers. It restores the printer's ability to detect printhead position and status during operation. This component is essential for maintaining print accuracy on supported technical and graphics workflows.

Replaces a Faulty or Degraded Original Sensor

Install this part when the original sensor fails, causing printhead alignment errors, carriage faults or print-quality issues that cleaning cannot resolve. The jump is worth it when diagnostic codes indicate a sensor malfunction rather than a printhead or carriage-motor problem. It is not for printers outside the listed model series or for resolving ink-supply or media-feed errors.

Questions about this item

Does the CH538-60063 printhead mount directly into the carriage of the T1200 and T1300 models?

Yes, the CH538-60063 printhead is designed to fit the T1200 and T1300 carriages without additional brackets.

When installing the Sensor T770 into a T795 or T2300, which alignment step is most often missed?

The printhead must be seated until the electrical contacts click into the carriage connector; a partial insert causes recognition errors.
