Compact USB soundbar for monitor mounting

The YYV EL020 is a single-piece desktop speaker that draws power and audio through one USB connection. Two 2.6-inch internal magnetic drivers produce 8 watts of total output, making it suited for everyday PC audio, video calls and casual media playback where desk space is limited.

Check your monitor edge and USB port

The spring-loaded clip opens to a maximum of 0.98 inches, so measure the thickness of your monitor bezel before ordering. You also need a free USB-A port on the computer or hub; no 3.5 mm auxiliary jack or separate power adapter is used, and no driver installation is required for supported systems.

Replaces separate stereo speakers

This soundbar upgrades from monitor speakers that lack clarity or from wired stereo pairs that occupy more desk area. The jump is worth it when you want a tidy, clip-on solution with top-mounted volume and mute controls, but not if you require deep bass, a subwoofer or wireless connectivity.

Questions about this item

Does the EL020 include any cables or adapters besides the USB connection, or do I need to buy a 3.5 mm AUX cable separately?

The speaker uses a single USB cable for both power and audio, so no 3.5 mm AUX cable is required and none is included. The package contains only the soundbar and a user manual.

The specs list 8 watts total and 8 watts per satellite — which figure should I use when comparing output?

Both numbers refer to the same integrated unit; the soundbar houses two 2.6-inch drivers that together deliver 8 W RMS total output.

Will 8 watts from the USB-powered EL020 be loud enough for a typical desk setup?

The 8 W RMS rating drives two 2.6-inch internal magnetic speakers, providing clear, loud audio for near-field desktop use, though bass is limited by the compact cavity.
