60 lbs Capacity per Pair

Each pair of cleats supports up to 60 pounds, making the kit appropriate for wood frames up to 25 inches wide. For heavier or wider objects, additional cleat pairs are required to distribute the load safely. The manufacturer rates the medium-duty extrusion from 30 to 120 lbs depending on length.

Questions about this item

What does the 60 lb rating mean when the cleats are mounted on a wall?

Two interlocked 12 inch cleats hold up to 60 lb when secured with the supplied anchors and screws into solid wall material.

How does the French cleat interface limit side-to-side movement once the frame is hung?

The Z profile locks the two bars together so the frame cannot shift laterally unless lifted off the cleat.

What wall space and hardware are needed to mount the 12 inch cleats?

Each cleat is 12 inches long with holes punched 1 inch apart; the kit includes 8 plastic anchors and 20 screws for wood or drywall mounting.
