ZAGG Rugged Messenger iPad 9.7 2017 Black

Rugged Messenger for 2017 iPad

The ZAGG Rugged Messenger is a protective keyboard case built specifically for the 9.7 inch iPad 2017 model. It combines a detachable TPU and polycarbonate shell with a stainless steel frame to shield the device from daily impacts. The integrated Bluetooth keyboard allows wireless typing anywhere without cables. This accessory targets mobile professionals and students who need durable protection and a physical keyboard for their tablet.

Snap-in fit with Bluetooth pairing

Installation consists of snapping the iPad into the polycarbonate frame and pairing the keyboard via Bluetooth; no tools or software are required. The detachable design lets the case separate from the keyboard for reading or media viewing. What usually goes wrong is forgetting to charge the keyboard over Micro USB before a long session, leaving the user without input when the battery depletes. The 1.32 lb weight adds noticeable heft to the 7.5 by 9.8 inch profile.

Drop rated to 6.6 feet for daily commutes

The multi-layered construction is rated to survive drops up to 6.6 feet onto hard surfaces, covering desk spills, bag drops and parking lot falls. It comfortably handles scratch and ding resistance for tablet edges and back panel. Where it runs out is liquid exposure and extreme crush force beyond the specified drop height, as no water-resistance rating is provided. The one-year limited warranty covers material defects only.
