Wired optical gaming mouse

The Zalman ZM-GM7 is a wired right-handed gaming mouse built around an optical sensor that supports up to 16000 DPI and a 1000 Hz polling rate. It offers six selectable DPI stages, seven programmable buttons and a click response time of 0.2 ms using LK switches rated for more than 20000000 clicks. The body measures 126 x 67 x 39 mm and weighs 156 g with cable.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Competitive players who want adjustable sensitivity up to 16000 DPI, low-latency clicks and RGB lighting configurable through dedicated software will find the feature set matches their needs. Buyers who prefer a wireless connection, a left-handed or ambidextrous shape, or a lighter chassis under 100 g should consider other options.

Sensor specification that decides fit

The optical sensor delivers 16000 DPI maximum resolution, 150 IPS tracking speed and 50 G acceleration at a fixed 1000 Hz polling rate, making it the single specification that determines whether the mouse meets a given performance requirement.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 16000 DPI sensor and 1000 Hz polling rate are active after installing the software?

Open the dedicated software, set the DPI slider to the highest stage and the polling rate to 1000 Hz, then move the mouse rapidly; the on-screen readout should report 16000 DPI and 1000 Hz without lag.

What does the ZM-GM7 package contain and is a mouse pad required?

The box includes the GM7 mouse with its gold-plated USB connector and integrated noise filter; a mouse pad is not required because the UPE feet glide on most desk surfaces.

The specs list both 12000 and 16000 DPI — which figure should I use for competitive play?

The hardware supports up to 16000 DPI; use the software to select the 6th DPI stage for the maximum 16000 DPI setting during competitive matches.
