Warehouse barcode scanner

The Zebra DS3678-SR is a cordless imager built for warehouse and manufacturing floor staff who scan thousands of 1D and 2D barcodes daily. It reads labels from near contact to 1.5 m away and captures codes printed on damaged labels or shown on screens. The rugged green housing withstands repeated drops and harsh industrial conditions.

Sealed cradle and smart battery

A sealed rugged cradle protects the charging contacts from dust and moisture while the smart battery manages power during continuous shifts. Zebra's Wi-Fi Friendly Mode prevents wireless interference with the facility network. The USB kit includes the cradle, cable and power supply for a complete cordless deployment.

USB kit simplifies setup

The bundled cradle, USB cable and power supply deliver a ready-to-use charging and host connection without extra sourcing. Line cord is sold separately, so sites with non-standard mains plugs must order the appropriate cord. No additional software licences are included in the kit.

Questions about this item

How do I install the DS3678-SR scanner and cradle, and what step is often missed?

Connect the cradle USB cable to the host, plug in the power supply, seat the scanner in the cradle to pair and charge, then scan a test barcode; the step often missed is applying power to the cradle before pairing.

What maintenance or replacement will the DS3678-SR need over time?

The smart battery will eventually need replacement after many charge cycles; the sealed rugged cradle and imager window should be cleaned periodically to maintain scan performance at up to 1.5 m range.

What limit appears first during sustained scanning with the DS3678-SR?

Battery depletion is the first limit under continuous heavy use; the scanner is rated for 42 hours of typical operation before requiring a recharge in the cradle.
