Satellite Signal Converter
The Zinwell SUP2400 B-Band Converter translates Ka-band satellite signals into a frequency range that compatible DirecTV receivers can process. It is intended for subscribers with non-SWM installations who need one converter per tuner to access additional HD channels. The unit installs inline between the dish cable and the receiver without tools.
Passive Operation
As a passive component the converter draws no external power and adds no audible noise to the system. It accepts signals in the 250 to 750 MHz Ka-band and outputs them in the 1650 to 2150 MHz range for the tuner. The single F-type female input and F-type male output connect directly to standard coaxial cables.
Non-SWM Installations
This converter is required for legacy DirecTV hardware such as the HR20, H20, H21, H24, HR21, HR22 and HR24 receivers when a SWM multiswitch is not present. It is not compatible with SWM-equipped systems where the conversion is handled internally. The black plastic housing is designed for indoor use near the receiver.

Questions about this item
How do I install the SUP2400 between the dish and my HR20 without tools?
Connect the dish cable to the F female input, then run a short coaxial lead from the F output to the receiver's satellite-in port; the converter draws power through the coax so no separate supply is needed.
What maintenance or replacement will the SUP2400 need over time?
The unit has no user-serviceable parts; if signal quality drops, check all F connectors for corrosion and replace the converter only if the Ka-band translation 250-750 MHz fails.
What limit appears first during sustained use of the SUP2400?
The 1650-2150 MHz output bandwidth is the hard ceiling; any transponder outside that range cannot be passed to HR20, H20, H21, H24, HR21, HR22 or HR24 tuners.
