Product Identity

Ziploc 316489 Gallon Food Storage Slider Bags come in a 68-count pack and are designed for everyday kitchen storage. The gallon-sized plastic bags feature a slider closure for quick sealing and Power Shield Technology for puncture resistance. They are microwave safe and freezer safe, made without BPA or phthalates, and can be reused after hand-washing and air-drying.

Suitability

These bags suit households that need large-capacity storage for bulk ingredients, leftovers or meal-prep portions and value an easy slide-to-close mechanism. Buyers who want a stand-up bottom for hands-free filling or who require a freezer-specific rating for long-term deep-freeze storage should look at something else.

Capacity and Headroom

The 68-count pack provides enough bags for extended daily use across fridge, freezer and pantry. The slider closure is tested to withstand over 100 open-and-close cycles per bag. Headroom ends when storing raw meat, fish, eggs or allergy-triggering foods, after which reuse is not recommended.

Questions about this item

What do I need to hand-wash and air-dry these Ziploc 316489 gallon bags for reuse?

After each use, wash the bags by hand with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and let them air-dry completely before refilling; avoid the dishwasher and do not reuse bags that held raw meat, fish, eggs, or common allergens.

Can I keep using my existing microwave-safe dishes when reheating food inside these Ziploc 316489 gallon bags?

Yes, place the filled bag on a microwave-safe dish, vent the slider closure about one inch, and heat according to your microwave's guidelines; the bag material is microwave-safe when used this way.

How can I verify the slider on my Ziploc 316489 gallon bag is sealing properly after I close it?

Run your fingers along the full length of the slider track — you should feel a continuous, tight seal with no gaps; the slider is designed to withstand 100-plus open-and-close cycles under typical use.
