Ziploc Half Gallon Freezer Bags 40 Count

Half-gallon freezer bags for home storage

These half-gallon freezer bags come in a 40-count pack designed for everyday food storage. They fill the gap when a quart bag is too small and a gallon bag is too large. The bags are BPA-free and safe for microwave use when placed on a microwave-safe dish. They suit households that freeze portions, marinate ingredients or organise leftovers.

Protects against freezer burn for up to 12 weeks

The key specification is the claimed protection against freezer burn for up to 12 weeks, which determines whether the bags meet long-term frozen-storage needs. Each bag measures 11.312 in by 11.312 in by 5 in and weighs 0.897 lb for the full pack. The material is plastic with a zipper closure and the colour is beige.

Simple zipper seal — avoid overfilling

Sealing is straightforward: press the zipper tracks together until they click, then lay the bag flat to freeze. Overfilling beyond the half-gallon volume is the most common reason the seal fails or the bag splits. Do not exceed the 425 °F microwave limit and always place the bag on a microwave-safe dish when reheating.
