Leipzig Street Scene Set

This 668-piece building set recreates the St Thomas Church street scene from Leipzig, Germany. It is designed for adult builders and older children who enjoy detailed architectural models and creative construction play.

Display Model Upgrade

The set moves beyond basic brick assortments by providing a cohesive, themed streetscape with specialised elements such as wheels and axles. The jump is worth it when you want a finished display piece rather than loose parts for open-ended building.

Standard Brick Assembly

Pieces interlock with tight tolerances and are compatible with major brick brands, so construction follows familiar techniques. The main difficulty lies in managing the high piece count and small detail elements during the longer build process.

Questions about this item

What base-plate size does the Leipzig St Thomas Church street scene set need for display?

The 668-piece model builds a complete street scene with the church and surrounding buildings, so a standard large base plate or a flat tabletop gives it a stable footprint.

Which step in the MOC-189252 instruction booklet do builders most often miss?

The church spire uses several tapered slope bricks that look similar; sorting those pieces by shade before starting the tower prevents having to backtrack halfway up.

If a brick or wheel-and-axle piece goes missing later, how do I replace it?

The set uses standard ABS bricks compatible with major brands, so any loose 1×2, 2×4 or technic axle from another collection will slot in and hold tightly.
