One-Hole Compression Lug for 1 AWG Copper

This Zoro Select 24C998 lug connects a single 1 AWG stranded copper conductor to a 3/8 inch stud. It is built for electrical and industrial wiring where a crimped, seamless copper barrel rated to 600 V AC and 300 degrees F is required. The straight tongue measures .67 inch wide and carries a green colour code with die code 37.

Crimp installation with standard tooling

The termination style is a crimp applied to the seamless barrel using a die that matches code 37; no inspection hole is present, so the installer must verify full insertion visually before compressing. A common error is using a die sized for a different code, which leaves the joint loose or cracks the barrel. The lug is UL Listed and CSA Certified when crimped correctly.

Single 1 AWG conductor only

The barrel accepts a minimum and maximum of 1 AWG stranded copper, so it cannot be used for smaller or larger gauges, solid wire, or aluminium conductors. The one-hole tongue fits a 3/8 inch stud, limiting the connection to that bolt pattern. Buyers needing multiple conductors, a different stud size, or an inspection window must choose another lug.
