Hex nut for 1″-14 thread

This Grade 8 steel hex nut fits a 1″-14 right-hand thread and meets ASME B 18.2.2 and SAE J995 standards. The black oxide finish adds corrosion resistance. It is made in the USA and sold in a small pack for maintenance or assembly tasks.

Check thread pitch and strength grade

Verify that the mating bolt or stud uses a 1″-14 thread and that the application requires Grade 8 strength. Confirm the 1 15/32 in hex width suits your wrench or socket. The product carries a California Proposition 65 warning for cancer and reproductive harm.

Replaces lower-grade or corroded nuts

Use this nut when a Grade 5 or ungraded fastener must be upgraded to Grade 8 for higher clamp load. The black oxide coating replaces plain or zinc finishes where better corrosion protection is needed. The jump is worth it when joint integrity depends on verified SAE J995 compliance.
