Square neck eases alignment in drilled holes

The 10.58 mm square neck seats itself when the nut is torqued, so the bolt will not spin while you tighten. A clearance hole slightly larger than 10 mm lets the shank pass without binding. If the neck is driven into material that is too hard or too thin, it may not grip and the bolt can rotate. Corrosion resistance comes from the zinc plating; avoid prolonged exposure to salt water or harsh chemicals.
