Zoro Select M12020.160.0150 Slotted Castle Nut M16x1.50 Class 4 Steel PK50

Zoro Select M12020.160.0150 Slotted Castle Nut

This Zoro Select slotted castle nut is a metric Class 4 steel fastener supplied in a pack of 50. It suits maintenance and assembly tasks where a positive locking method is required. The right-hand thread and plain finish meet DIN 935 dimensional standards for general engineering use.

Upgrading from standard hex nuts without locking

The slotted castle design replaces plain nuts when vibration or rotation could loosen a joint. The jump is worth it when a drilled bolt or stud allows a split pin or wire to engage the slots, providing a mechanical lock that a nylon insert or serrated flange cannot.

M16 x 1.50 thread with 24 mm hex and 19 mm height

The 24 mm hex width allows standard spanner engagement while the 19 mm overall height provides sufficient slot depth for reliable pin retention. The pack of 50 supports repeated servicing or small production runs. The nut runs out when the application demands a higher material class, a different thread pitch or a self-locking feature without an external pin.
