Zoro Select PVC Tubing 1/4" ID
This clear PVC tubing has a 1/4 inch inside diameter and a 1/2 inch outside diameter. It is supplied in a 100 foot length for beverage, food and water applications. The material carries a Shore A 65 hardness rating.
Sustained pressure and temperature limits
The tubing withstands a maximum operating pressure of 170 psi and a maximum operating temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit. These ratings define safe continuous service rather than short burst limits. It has no jacket and is not compatible with peristaltic pumps.
Replaces worn or undersized clear PVC lines
This product upgrades cracked, discoloured or kinked tubing in food and beverage lines. The jump is worth it when the existing run cannot hold 170 psi at 140 degrees Fahrenheit. It does not suit systems needing peristaltic pump compatibility or a protective jacket.

Questions about this item
Does the PVC material soften or degrade when the fluid reaches 140 Degrees F during continuous use?
The tubing is rated for a maximum operating temperature of 140 Degrees F, so it maintains its integrity at that level.
What barbed fitting size matches the 1/4 in inside diameter so the line seals without leaks?
Use barbed fittings sized for 1/4 in ID tubing; the 1/2 in OD ensures a secure grip when clamped.
Will the 1/2 in outside diameter push onto the 1/2 in copper drain pipes already in my workshop?
The 1/2 in OD is the tubing's outer dimension, not a copper-pipe size, so it will not fit directly over 1/2 in copper without an adapter.
