ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3090 Trinity OC 24GB GDDR6X

This graphics card targets enthusiasts and creators who need 24GB of GDDR6X memory on a 384-bit interface. The Ampere GPU delivers 10496 CUDA cores with a boost clock of 1710 MHz. It connects via PCI Express 4.0 x16 and supports four displays through three DisplayPort 1.4a and one HDMI 2.1 output.

IceStorm 2.0 cooler thermals noise power draw

The 2.5-slot air cooler uses IceStorm 2.0 technology to manage the 350W thermal design power across the 318mm card length. A 750W power supply is recommended with two 8-pin connectors. The cooler design aims for wider coverage to keep temperatures lower during sustained workloads.

24GB GDDR6X 384-bit memory decides fit

The 24GB GDDR6X frame buffer running at 19.5 Gbps across a 384-bit bus is the specification that determines suitability for 8K gaming, large dataset rendering, or heavy AI inference. This capacity and bandwidth combination defines the card's role in high-end workstations and enthusiast systems.

Questions about this item

How do I install the card in my case and connect the power cables, and what step do people often miss?

The card occupies 2.5 slots and measures 317.8 mm long, so verify case clearance first. Seat it fully in the PCI Express 4.0 x16 slot, then attach both 8-pin power connectors from a 750 W supply; the included anti-sag RGB holder must be screwed to the chassis to prevent flex over time.

What maintenance or replacement will the cooler need later?

The IceStorm 2.0 air cooler relies on fans that can accumulate dust; clean the heatsink fins and fan blades with compressed air every few months. If a fan bearing becomes noisy or stops spinning, replace the fan assembly to maintain airflow across the 350 W thermal design power.

What limit appears first during sustained heavy loads?

The 350 W thermal design power is the primary ceiling; once the GPU hits its temperature target the boost clock of 1710 MHz will throttle down to stay within that power envelope.
