Refurbished RTX 3080 with 12 GB GDDR6X

The ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3080 Trinity LHR is a refurbished graphics card built on the Ampere architecture. It carries 8960 CUDA cores and 12 GB of GDDR6X memory across a 384-bit bus running at 19 Gbps. The boost clock reaches 1710 MHz. A PCI Express 4.0 interface connects the card to the platform. It suits 4K gaming and compute workloads that benefit from the larger frame buffer.

Upgrade from 10 GB 3080 or earlier Ampere cards

Moving from a 10 GB RTX 3080 adds 2 GB of VRAM and the wider 384-bit interface, which helps in texture-heavy titles and creative apps at 4K. The LHR limiter caps Ethereum hash rate around 52 MH/s, so mining efficiency drops while gaming performance stays intact. The jump makes sense when current VRAM usage regularly exceeds 10 GB or when a 350 W TDP fits the power budget.

Triple-slot ATX card needs 750 W PSU and two 8-pin

The card measures 318 mm long and occupies three expansion slots, so verify case clearance before purchase. Two 8-pin power connectors feed the 350 W TDP; a 750 W supply is the minimum recommendation. IceStorm 2.0 cooling uses triple fans with a FREEZE fan-stop mode at low load. SPECTRA 2.0 RGB lighting is configurable via software. HDMI 2.1 and three DisplayPort 1.4a outputs drive up to four displays.

Questions about this item

What case clearance does the 318 mm length and 3-slot width of this ZOTAC RTX 3080 Trinity require?

The card measures 318 mm long and occupies three expansion slots, so the chassis must provide at least that much length and vertical slot space.

Which power connectors must be attached during installation, and which step do builders often miss?

Two 8-pin PCIe power connectors are required; the step often missed is seating both connectors fully until the latch clicks.

When should the thermal paste on the GPU die be replaced on this 350 W card?

Re-paste the GPU die if temperatures rise noticeably after several years of heavy use, indicating the original compound has dried out.
