Direct-fit OEM radio for 2006-2007 Saturn

Owners replacing a failed factory unit

The radio suits drivers who want the original dashboard look and steering-wheel controls to keep working. Buyers needing Bluetooth streaming, satellite radio or USB connectivity should look elsewhere because this head unit lacks those features.

Dealer pairing required before full operation

After installation the radio runs in a 10-minute test mode and must be unlocked by a GM dealer for permanent vehicle pairing. Confirm the U1C option code matches your vehicle before ordering.

Questions about this item

Does the 15850680 radio generate noticeable heat or noise during extended daily driving?

The remanufactured OEM unit runs at normal dashboard temperatures with no fan, so heat and audible noise stay minimal during all-day use.

What existing vehicle wiring or modules must already be present for the 15850680 to function?

The radio plugs into the factory GM harness and requires the vehicle's Class 2 data bus; a GM dealer must then unlock and pair it to the VIN before it leaves test mode.

Will the 15850680 work alongside the original steering-wheel controls and OnStar module in a 2006-2007 Saturn Ion or Vue?

Yes — it is the correct OEM replacement for part numbers 15814424 and 15878973, so steering-wheel buttons and OnStar integration remain functional after dealer pairing.
