Direct replacement for 2017 Buick Encore

This professionally remanufactured touch-screen radio carries part number 42498391 and interchange number 638-12675. It is built to replace the factory unit only when that exact part number or compatible number 42670750 is already installed. Buyers who need a different part number or a unit for another model year cannot use this radio.

Normal operation thermals and power

The unit draws power from the vehicle’s original wiring harness and runs at factory voltage. No extra cooling or wiring modifications are required during normal use. Installers who lack the dealer programming tool will not be able to activate the radio after fitting.

Dealer activation and cosmetic notes

A dealer turn-on may be required to code the replacement to the vehicle. The display shows minor scratches noted in the listing photos, but function is confirmed at 100 per cent working order. Shops without access to GM programming software cannot complete the installation.
