Direct-fit 2008 Equinox replacement radio

This professionally remanufactured OEM unit matches part number 25887900 and interchange number 638-02677. It provides AM, FM, MP3 and auxiliary audio playback plus a six-disc CD changer. The unit is sold as a direct replacement for 2008 Chevrolet Equinox models.

Verify the exact part number before ordering

Confirm that the radio currently in your vehicle carries part number 25887900 or one of the listed compatible numbers 2585699, 25867996 or 25920405. Units with different part numbers may share the same connectors but use incompatible data streams and will not function correctly. The option code US9 should also match your vehicle configuration.

Plug-and-play installation

The receiver connects to the factory wiring harness and requires no security code entry after installation. It restores the original audio functions including the six-disc CD player and auxiliary input. Vehicles equipped with an external amplifier from the factory are not compatible with this unit.

Questions about this item

Does the 25887900 radio ship with mounting brackets or a wiring harness, or must those be sourced separately?

The unit is sold as a direct replacement; brackets and the factory harness are not included and must be reused from the original radio or purchased separately.

How do I confirm the 25887900 is the correct version for my 2008 Equinox instead of the 2585699, 25867996 or 25920405 variants?

Match the part number printed on your current radio to 25887900; if it matches one of the listed interchange numbers the unit will fit, otherwise it may not communicate with the vehicle data bus.

What does the 100 % working-order claim mean for daily use of the AM FM MP3 AUX and 6-disc CD functions?

Every audio source — AM, FM, MP3 playback, auxiliary input and the six-disc changer — has been tested and operates as designed in a 2008 Equinox without requiring a dealer unlock code.
