Questions about this item

Does the remanufactured 42473831 unit draw more power or run hotter than a brand-new MyLink receiver?

The remanufactured 42473831 is tested to 100 % working order and operates within the original factory power and thermal specifications for the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze and Malibu MyLink system.

What must already be in my vehicle for the 42473831 receiver to function?

Your vehicle must currently have the exact part number 42473831 or one of the compatible numbers 42505018 or 42456917, and the IOA option code, otherwise the data stream will not code correctly.

Will the 42473831 receiver work alongside the original external amplifier in my 2016 Cruze?

If the original vehicle uses an external amplifier, the 42473831 may not interchange because the data streams differ; verify the current part number matches 42473831, 42505018 or 42456917 before installing.
