Replacement Radio for Dodge Caravan 2012-2020

This remanufactured factory radio matches part number 68245857AB and option code RBZ. It provides AM, FM and satellite-capable reception along with a single-disc CD, DVD and MP3 player. An 8GB internal hard drive stores audio files directly in the unit. The product is sold new with a cosmetic scuff on the upper right corner of the screen.

Direct Swap for Identical OEM Unit

The radio replaces only the exact same part number already installed in the vehicle. It will not function as an upgrade from a different factory system because data streams and external amplifier configurations vary between part numbers. The jump is worth it only when the current unit has failed and the part number matches precisely.

Dealer Activation Required After Install

Installation is a direct plug-in replacement when the part number matches, but the unit will not operate until a dealer performs the required programming. The most common issue is ordering without verifying the exact part number against the vehicle VIN. A cosmetic screen scuff is present on this specific unit and does not affect operation.

Questions about this item

Does the 68245857AB radio fit directly into the 2012-2020 Dodge Caravan dashboard?

Yes, the unit is designed as a direct replacement for the factory radio in 2012-2020 Dodge Caravan models and uses the original mounting points and factory connector.

What installation step is often missed with this replacement radio?

Dealer programming is required after installation to activate the unit; without it the radio will not function even though it powers up.

How long does the 8 GB internal hard drive typically last before needing replacement?

The 8 GB hard drive is rated for many years of normal use; if it eventually fails the stored music library will be lost but the radio will still play discs and broadcast.
