2018‑19 Jeep Cherokee 8.4‑inch Factory Radio

This 1 Factory Radio 68312540AD receiver is a professionally remanufactured head unit designed as a direct replacement for 2018‑2019 Jeep Cherokee models. It integrates AM FM satellite‑capable reception, Bluetooth 8.4 connectivity and Uconnect telematics in an 8.4‑inch display. The unit arrives in 100 % working order and may show normal signs of wear. A dealer turn‑on is required for activation.

Exact part‑number match required

Buyers who need a plug‑and‑play stereo without dealer programming should look elsewhere. Installers who cannot verify the 68312540AD or 638‑12685 part number against the vehicle’s current unit will find this radio incompatible. Vehicles equipped with external amplifiers or different data‑stream configurations are also not supported.

Dealer activation mandatory

The single specification that decides fitment is the requirement for dealer turn‑on to code the radio to the vehicle’s VIN. Without this step the unit will not function even when the part number matches. Confirm the exact part number and arrange dealer programming before purchase.

Questions about this item

What vehicle and exact part number must I already have for the 68312540AD to work?

You need a 2018-2019 Jeep Cherokee that currently uses part number 68312540AD or interchange 638-12685; different part numbers will not code correctly.

Will the 68312540AD integrate with my existing steering-wheel controls and factory amplifier?

The unit is a direct replacement for the original radio, so steering-wheel controls and factory wiring connect normally; external amplifier configurations may prevent coding.

How can I confirm the 8.4 inch display and Bluetooth 8.4 are functioning after the dealer turn-on?

After dealer activation, verify AM FM satellite reception, Bluetooth 8.4 pairing, and full touchscreen response on the 8.4 inch display.
