Direct-fit replacement radio

This professionally remanufactured OEM head unit carries part number 6G1T-18C815-AC and interchange 638-02216. It delivers AM/FM reception plus a six-disc CD changer and an auxiliary input jack. The unit is cleaned, serviced and verified at 100 per cent function.

Owners of 2006-2007 Ford Five Hundred

Buyers who need Bluetooth streaming, satellite radio integration or a modern touchscreen interface should look elsewhere. Vehicles equipped with an external amplifier or a different data-bus configuration will not accept this unit.

Exact part-number match required

The radio installs only when the factory label reads 6G1T-18C815-AC; any other code means the data streams will not align and the head unit will not operate. Confirm the number before ordering.

Questions about this item

Does the radio ship with any mounting hardware or wiring adapters?

The listing covers the head unit itself; mounting brackets, harness adapters or antenna connectors are not included and must be sourced separately.

Which part number should I match to confirm this unit fits my vehicle?

Verify the original radio carries part number 6G1T-18C815-AC or interchange 638-02216; only that exact code guarantees compatibility with 2006-2007 Ford Five Hundred and Mercury Montego models.

What does the six-disc changer capability mean for daily use?

It allows up to six CDs to be loaded internally so you can switch discs without handling them while driving, and the auxiliary jack lets you connect a phone or portable player directly.
