Direct Replacement Radio

This remanufactured OEM receiver matches part number 86201AG69A for 2007-2009 Subaru Legacy models. It provides AM FM radio and MP3 CD playback in a faceless design that uses your existing front panel. No programming code is required for installation.

Faceless Design Change

The unit arrives without a detachable faceplate, meaning your original P204UN panel must be reused to operate the radio. Professional remanufacturing includes cleaning, servicing and full functional testing so the mechanism works like new. Buyers who need a complete unit with a new face cannot use this part.

Part-Number Lock Constraint

Interchange data streams vary between visually identical radios, so only vehicles currently equipped with 86201AG69A or 86201AG69B are compatible. External amplifier configurations and differing data protocols prevent swapping from other Legacy years or trims. Verify the exact part number before ordering.

Questions about this item

Will the CD mechanism need lubrication or laser replacement after years of use?

The unit was professionally remanufactured and serviced as needed, so the CD player was cleaned and checked to 100% working order before shipping.

What fails first when the radio runs continuously — the amplifier section or the display backlight?

This is a faceless receiver with no built-in display; the faceplate code is P204UN, so the separate face unit handles the backlight.

Does the receiver run hot or draw extra current when powered all day in a 2008 Legacy?

It is a direct OEM replacement for part 86201AG69A, designed to match the factory electrical load and thermal profile.
