Direct replacement for 2007-08 Mitsubishi radio

This 1 Factory Radio unit carries part number 8701A225 and fits 2007-08 Mitsubishi Lancer and Outlander models. It is a professionally remanufactured OEM AM/FM single-disc CD receiver sold as a direct replacement only. The face plate and controls are not included. Buyers who need a complete dashboard kit or integrated steering-wheel buttons will not be served by this part.

Vehicle-specific data bus limits interchange

The radio communicates on the factory data stream, so units that look identical and share the same plugs may still fail to function if the vehicle uses an external amplifier or a different bus protocol. No programming code is required, but the part number must match exactly. Installers who assume visual similarity guarantees compatibility will encounter a non-working unit.

Exact part-number match decides fitment

The sole specification that determines whether this receiver will operate is the part number 8701A225 or its compatible reference MN141319. If the original radio in the vehicle does not carry one of these numbers, the replacement will likely not work. Shoppers who cannot confirm the original part number should contact a dealer with the VIN before ordering.

Questions about this item

Which part number confirms this unit will fit my 2007-2008 Mitsubishi Lancer or Outlander?

Match the original radio part number 8701A225 or compatible number MN141319; different numbers may look identical but use incompatible data streams.

What does the "professionally remanufactured" label mean for daily operation once installed?

The unit has been cleaned, serviced, and tested to function perfectly with no codes required for plug-and-play replacement.

What wiring interface does this receiver use and what integration limits apply?

It plugs into the factory harness, but external amplifiers or differing data streams in some trims will prevent interchange even if connectors match.
