Factory radio for 2008 Kia Optima Magentis

This professionally remanufactured OEM unit replaces the original AM FM CD receiver with EQ in the 2008 Kia Optima and Magentis. It carries part number 96140-2G600T0 and option code M446. The radio is sold as a direct replacement only and has no Bluetooth or AUX input.

Verify part number and vehicle compatibility

Confirm the existing radio shows the exact part number 96140-2G600T0 or the compatible number R61402G600D1 before ordering. Interchange part 638-50883 also applies. Data streams differ between similar-looking units, so external amplifier configurations and coding requirements will prevent function if the numbers do not match.

Installation restores factory audio functions

The unit fits the original dashboard opening and connects to the factory wiring harness without adapters. It restores AM FM reception, CD playback and EQ control. Cosmetic imperfections on the display and knob surfaces remain from prior use but do not affect operation. No additional accessories are included.

Questions about this item

Does the 96140-2G600T0 arrive with a mounting kit or wiring harness, or must those be sourced separately?

The unit is sold as a direct replacement only; no mounting kit, wiring harness, trim bezel or installation hardware is included in the box.

My Optima has option code M446 — is the 96140-2G600T0 the correct version or do I need a different part number?

Yes, M446 is the exact option code this receiver is built for; the part number 96140-2G600T0 and interchange 638-50883 both reference that code.

The screen shows imperfections and the knobs have scratches — will that affect reception or CD playback once installed?

No, the supplier confirms the function is perfect; the display blemishes and face scratches are cosmetic only and do not change AM, FM or CD operation.
