Direct Replacement for 2014-2016 Kia Sedona

This factory radio carries part number 96160-A9000WAC and fits 2014-2016 Kia Sedona models. It is an AM FM MP3 receiver with a single-disc CD player that is satellite ready. The unit serves as a direct replacement only and requires the exact part number already present in the vehicle.

Low Electrical Load and Silent Operation

The receiver draws minimal current from the vehicle electrical system during normal use. It produces no audible mechanical noise beyond normal CD transport sounds. The unit weighs 6 units and operates within standard automotive voltage ranges.

Plug-In Installation With Part-Number Verification

Installation uses the factory connector and option code 0VA when the part number matches the original unit. Interchange part number 638-73724 provides an additional cross-reference. The radio frees the dashboard from aftermarket adapters but will not function if the vehicle uses an external amplifier or a different data stream.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 96160-A9000WAC receiver in my 2014-2016 Kia Sedona, and what step is often missed?

Remove the factory unit, connect the factory wiring harness and antenna directly to the 96160-A9000WAC, then secure it in the dash; the step often missed is confirming the exact part number 96160-A9000WAC matches the original before installation, as similar-looking units with different data streams will not code.

What maintenance or replacement will the single-disc CD mechanism in the 96160-A9000WAC need later?

The laser lens may need occasional cleaning with a disc-based lens cleaner, and the disc-loading motor or spindle bearings can wear after extended use, requiring mechanism replacement if discs fail to load or read.

What limit appears first during sustained use of the 96160-A9000WAC receiver?

The internal amplifier thermal protection engages first during prolonged high-volume playback, muting output until the unit cools.
