Replacement Radio for 2002 Kia Optima

This professionally remanufactured OEM unit replaces the factory AM FM cassette single CD player in 2002 Kia Optima and Magentis models. It carries part number 96190-3C101 and is cleaned, serviced and tested to 100 percent working order. No code is required for installation.

Fitment Limits for This Part Number

Buyers whose vehicle does not already contain part number 96190-3C101 should look elsewhere because data streams differ and external amplifier configurations prevent interchange. The unit is sold as a direct replacement only and will likely not function if the original part number is different.

Critical Part Number Check

The single specification that decides fitment is the exact part number 96190-3C101 currently installed in the vehicle. Verify this number before purchase; interchange numbers 638-58081C and 96190-3C102 are listed but the factory part must match precisely.

Questions about this item

Does the 96190-3C101 radio need a separate amplifier or external amp to operate in a 2002 Kia Optima?

The unit is a direct replacement; however, some 2002 Kia models use an external amplifier that will not allow interchange, so verify your vehicle does not require one before installing.

Will the 96190-3C101 work if my current radio has a different part number but the same plug?

No, the listing states it is a replacement only for part number 96190-3C101; different part numbers may have different data streams and will likely not work even with identical connectors.

How can I confirm the cassette and CD mechanisms are functioning correctly after installation?

Insert a cassette and a CD; both should load, play audio through the speakers, and eject without error, confirming the 100% working order claimed for this professionally overhauled unit.
