Direct OEM Replacement

This 1 Factory Radio unit is a professionally remanufactured OEM head unit carrying part number 15850275. It fits 2005 through 2009 Chevrolet and GMC trucks and SUVs including the Sierra 2500, Sierra 3500, Suburban, Tahoe, Trailblazer, Yukon and Yukon XL models. The unit restores factory appearance and dash integration while adding modern streaming capability. Buyers needing a double-DIN touchscreen or a unit that fits other model years cannot use this radio.

Bluetooth Audio Streaming Added

The original AM FM CD receiver has been upgraded with Bluetooth music capability so a smartphone, tablet or other Bluetooth device can stream audio through the factory speakers. Pairing uses a fixed pass key of 0000 and supports in-app audio from services such as Spotify, Pandora, YouTube and Netflix. The feature handles music playback only and does not support hands-free phone calls. Vehicles without a Bluetooth-capable source device gain no wireless audio benefit from this upgrade.

Dealer Programming Required

The replacement radio weighs six pounds and installs into the original dashboard opening using the factory mounting points and connector. After installation the unit must be unlocked and paired to the specific vehicle by a dealer using a Tech 2 or equivalent scan tool. Until that step is completed the radio will not operate. Shops without dealer-level programming access should plan for that additional service before the head unit becomes functional.

Questions about this item

Will the Bluetooth module or CD mechanism need servicing later?

The unit is a professionally remanufactured OEM radio with an added Bluetooth music upgrade; no user-serviceable parts are mentioned, so long-term maintenance would follow normal automotive radio expectations.

What stops continuous playback first — thermal limits or the CD drive?

Extended operation is limited by the vehicle's electrical system and the radio's original OEM thermal design; no specific duty-cycle or temperature threshold is provided.

How much heat or fan noise appears during all-day use?

The remanufactured OEM chassis uses the factory cooling layout with no added fans; heat and audible noise remain at the level of the original truck radio.
