Direct Replacement CD Player

This single-disc CD player is a professionally remanufactured OEM unit built for 2000-2003 Subaru Forester and Legacy models. It carries part number H6240LS001 and reference CX-DF1910F. The unit is sold as a radio-less replacement for the factory disc mechanism only.

Verify Exact Part Number Before Ordering

This component will only function if the original unit in your vehicle bears the identical part number H6240LS001. Matching connectors and appearance do not guarantee compatibility because data streams and external amplifier configurations differ between similar-looking units. Use your VIN to confirm the correct part if you are uncertain.

Upgrades a Failed Factory Disc Mechanism

The player replaces a faulty or worn original CD unit while retaining the vehicle's existing radio and wiring. The jump is worth it when the factory mechanism skips, fails to load or ejects discs incorrectly. It is not intended for vehicles lacking this specific part number or for owners seeking added audio features.

Questions about this item

Does the H6240LS001 come with the radio tuner or just the CD mechanism?

The H6240LS001 is a single disc CD player only; the radio tuner is not included and must be sourced separately.

How do I know if the H6240LS001 is the correct version for my 2000-2003 Subaru?

Verify the part number H6240LS001 or reference CX-DF1910F on your existing unit; different data streams and external amp configurations prevent interchange even if plugs appear identical.

Will the H6240LS001 function immediately after installation in a 2001 Legacy?

Yes, the remanufactured unit is cleaned, serviced and tested for perfect function, but it must replace an identical H6240LS001 part number to code correctly with the vehicle's data stream.
