The supply provides 120 watts continuous power, matching the original Chicony A17-120P2A rating for the listed laptops. It will run the CPU and discrete graphics at full load while charging the battery. Systems that require more than 120 watts or a different connector size cannot use this adapter.

Questions about this item

Will the 4.5*3.0mm connector on this 120W adapter fit the charging port on my older MSI Thin 15 B7V?

Yes, the 4.5*3.0mm connector is listed for the Thin 15 B7V among the compatible models, so it will seat correctly in that laptop's power jack.

How can I verify the adapter is delivering the rated 20V 6A output after I plug it in?

The laptop's battery indicator should show charging and the system power meter will report 120W input; a USB-C PD tester on the output cable can also confirm 20V at up to 6A.

Does the package include both the 120W brick and a mains lead, or must I buy the cord separately?

The box contains one 120W AC adapter and one power cord, so no separate mains lead purchase is required.
