Multi-Purpose Battery Meter

The Tenergy 5-in-1 cell meter measures voltages for LiPo, LiFePO4, Li-ion, NiCd and NiMH packs from two to seven cells. It powers itself from the battery under test so no external supply is needed. Hobbyists and technicians use it to verify pack health before charging or flying. The unit only activates once a compatible balance or Hitech/Futaba connector is attached.

Five Integrated Functions

Capacity checking, internal resistance reading, cell balancing, controlled discharging and ESC or servo signal testing are combined in one hand-held tool. The discharge circuit runs at 180mA and must be limited to six minutes per session with a cool-down period. Balancing equalises individual cells to extend usable runtime. The PPM tester confirms receiver and speed-controller signals on the bench.

Connector-Dependent Operation

Lithium packs require a balance lead; NiMH or NiCd packs need a Hitech or Futaba plug or a suitable adapter. Packs without these connectors cannot be tested at all. The clamp-style housing is battery-powered and has no mains inlet, so it is restricted to field or bench use where the pack itself provides energy. Build quality is functional for portable checking rather than permanent installation.
